Peaceful Presence

Individually we influence the world by how we think and move within it. Everyone understands what a peaceful life is though few really integrate this into their personal lives and across the globe. This meditation is way to draw peacefulness into your life and all you do.

  1. Sit comfortably and close your eye lids softly to rest on your eyes
  2. Inhale deeply feeling your breath fill your whole body. Before you exhale, hold your breath for a couple seconds and when you are ready slowly feel the air release your body into a comfortable sitting posture. Repeat 3 to 5 times, until you become comfortable and begin to focus on yourself.
  3. Draw your mind to the ideal of peace. Imagine peace in your home, in your workplace, in your community and in the world. How does it feel, look, taste, etc.?
  4. Begin to know yourself as a deeply peaceful person. Bring this peacefulness into your body, that everywhere you go, your peaceful quality affects everyone around you, and that your presence brings a sense of calm into every situation – even those that are stressful and tense.
  5. Imagine those around you expressing appreciation to you for bringing peace into their lives. Enjoy the feedback
  6. Gradually return to the present and open your eyes.
